Sculpture by the Lakes are hosting The Garden Festival from 12th – 16th May, a wonderful event that we will be part of alongside fellow horticultural companies and organisations.
The five–day occasion is about celebrating gardens and gardening, with nurseries, garden furniture, talks, tours and much more featuring for visitors to enjoy as they wish.
Among the many tradestands will be one run by our brilliant volunteers, who will be raising awareness of Horatio’s Garden and how the health benefits of gorgeous, naturally-inspired spaces just like the Lakes are at the heart of what we do. Naturally there will also be a full range of our beautifully bespoke merchandise available for purchase, offering everyone a chance to support the charity too.
The Garden Festival was the idea of renowned sculptor Simon Gudegeon and his wife, Monique, who have long been welcoming the public to the Sculpture by the Lakes park, which is nestled in 26 acres of Dorset’s glorious countryside.
It has been described as one of the most beautiful and unique sculpture parks in the UK and is an oasis for art lovers, collectors and nature enthusiasts alike. Marrying the soft beauty of nature’s wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture, Sculpture by the Lakes is an ever-evolving project and a truly stunning spectacle.
Having previously generously exhibited his work for patients and their loved ones to enjoy in Horatio’s Garden South West, we are thrilled to once again be working with Simon, Monique and the Sculpture by the Lakes team.
More information about the details of the event will be available on the Sculpture by the Lakes website soon.
The venue, Sculpture by the Lakes, is located six miles east of Dorchester in Pallington, Dorset, DT2 8QU.
We’re very much looking forward to the event and hope to see many of you there!
