In light of the unprecedented, challenging times facing the UK as a result of the Coronavirus, the RHS have cancelled all their events until 30th June. Please consider donating, becoming a Friend or supporting Horatio’s Garden however you can this summer, so we can continue to help patients through these extraordinarily difficult times.

The RHS Malvern Spring Festival was due to take place between Thursday 7th May to Sunday 10th May but will no longer be held as a precautionary measure. To find out more about how Horatio’s Garden would have been involved, please read the event description below.
Event Description
We are excited to say that we will be hosting guests at our Vintage Tea Tent throughout the long weekend. The café will be run by Horatio’s Garden volunteers and will have refreshing cool drinks, plentiful tea and of course many, many delicious cakes.
Of course the tent will have to look the part, so Bunny Guinness has very kindly offered to decorate it both inside and out with all things bright and beautiful. She plans on featuring a great many vegetable plants, which will be both in-keeping with the theme and champion the benefits of ‘growing your own’.
Volunteering Opportunity
We are looking for volunteers to help throughout the long weekend, so please email events@horatiosgarden.org.uk or call 01722 326834 if you would like to be involved.
You will have a free day pass to the show and will only have to spend half of it serving tea and cake to visitors – the rest of the day is yours, giving you plenty of time to explore everything that RHS Malvern has to offer.
Evening Events
You can also support Horatio’s Garden by joining us for two very special drinks receptions in our Vintage Tent on Friday 8th May and Saturday 9th May, ahead of the Festival’s celebratory VE Day concert and VE Day party respectively.
For tickets to Friday 8th May’s concert and to find out more, please CLICK HERE.
For tickets to Saturday 9th May’s party and to find out more, please CLICK HERE.
Both the concert and drinks reception are included in the price of your ticket. Each ticket also allows you to explore the Festival from 4pm.
Alchemy Gardens
Alchemy Gardens are RHS award-winning landscape designers who have a permanent show garden at the Three Counties Showground, where RHS Malvern is held.
The garden opens to the public throughout the three main shows held at the ground and during last year’s RHS Malvern Spring Festival their garden attracted over 17,000 visitors. It has also previously been visited by HRH Prince Charles and HRH Princess Anne.
For the very first time this year the garden will feature a large, complete Victorian wellhead, which was moved to the site and has now been raised onto a purpose-built stone well. The new addition will be a fully operational wishing well, so members of the public can cast their pennies and pounds in as they wish, with all the proceeds being generously donated to Horatio’s Garden.
We are so grateful to Paul Taylor and the team at Alchemy Gardens for making us their ‘wishing well’ charity for this year’s show and look forward to visiting their beautiful garden in May.
We are so grateful to the following generous sponsors for all their support:
About RHS Malvern
The show is set against the magnificent Malvern Hills and will be packed with flowers, food, crafts and family fun. It is expected that 100,000 people will visit the show over just four days, and we are so excited to see many of you there. With beautiful gardens and special guests including Monty Don, Carol Klein and our very own Stoke Mandeville garden designer Joe Swift, this is not an event to be missed!
The show is open each day from 9am-6pm and is open to both those who have pre-paid for their tickets and to those who have not bought tickets in advance. The last admittance to visitors who have not bought tickets in advance is at 4pm each day, including the Sunday sell-off.
