On Wednesday 10th April Horatio’s Garden Scotland supporters gathered at Edrington’s Queen Street offices in Glasgow for a celebratory drinks party.

As the sun set over the city guests enjoyed a variety of delicious canapes and had the chance to try some signature Horatio’s Garden cocktails (recipe available on request!) whilst all the while spending time in the company of other loyal supporters.

Co-founder and Head of Trustees Dr Olivia Chapple gave a speech, along with Glasgow garden designer James Alexander-Sinclair, offering attendees a unique insight into all that Horatio’s Garden does to help patients and their loved ones.

Amongst the guests we’re some of the charity’s ambassadors, including award-winning journalist Melanie Reid, Sir James Stirling of Garden and Sir John MacMilllan. It was also brilliant to see some new faces, including veteran Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay. We are so grateful to each of them for attending, and for sharing their reasons for personally supporting Horatio’s Garden with a great many guests.

Our volunteers did a wonderful job of ensuring the evening ran smoothly and it was lovely to see so many of them chatting with guests about their experiences in Horatio’s Garden Glasgow too.

Thank you to both Rathbone Investment Management and Edrington, the premium spirits company, for generously sponsoring the event. We also would like to express our gratitude to Jules Catering, The Drink Cabinet, Wild Rose Flowers and photographer Andrew Waddell, whose hard work helped to make the evening a great success.
