Supporters, patrons, volunteers, and staff joined Horatio’s Garden on Thursday 23rd May at the National Army Museum for a fabulous evening of arty fundraising.
Our annual Drinks Party and Secret Art Sale was once again an amazing success this year, with our wonderful supporters, both old and new, raising an absolutely incredible £15,000!
We would also like to extend our gratitude too to the event’s sponsors, The Chambers of William Mousley, 2 King’s Bench Walk, and Rathbones Investment Management.
Guests were invited to enjoy fine wine and canapes, which were utterly delicious thanks to Sarah Symington Catering, whilst all the while perusing over 300 pieces of artwork which were generously donated to the sale.
A remarkable number of people bought artwork throughout the evening, with many returning to purchase multiple pieces – there were simply too many works by talented artists to resist!
The event’s truly unique atmosphere was felt by everyone as the fundraising continued, including our loyal volunteers. We so appreciate all that you did to ensure the event ran so smoothly and it was lovely to see some fresh faces joining the team too.
We hope that next year’s event will be equally marvellous and we’re particularly excited to see how the event grows as we continue to open more gardens throughout the UK. The money you raised this evening will help us to improve the lives of even more people affected by spinal injury across the country and for that we are eternally grateful.
