Many of you will know that we have now begun fundraising for our sixth project, Horatio’s Garden Cardiff. As part of the redevelopment of University Hospital, Llandough, we were invited to create a garden for the brand new, purpose-built spinal and neurological centre which is due to open in summer 2021.

As every Horatio’s Garden is thoughtfully considered, award-winning garden designer Sarah Price has already spent many months collaborating with 6a architects in order to create and develop the initial designs. Whilst these will naturally evolve over time, it was particularly exciting for Founder & Chair of Trustees, Dr Olivia Chapple, Treasurer & Executive Trustee, Victoria Holton, and Director of Operations, John Grinstead to meet with Sarah and the whole 6a team designing the garden. The group enthusiastically described their vision for the garden, sharing that it would feature almost every beautiful aspect of the Welsh landscape and would offer moments of calm to both patients and their loved ones.

Whilst we can share very little about the designs at the moment, below you’ll find some exciting new design visuals which give everyone a wonderful insight into the garden Sarah and 6a are creating. There will be plenty of updates over the coming months so keep an eye on our website for all the latest news. In the meantime, you can find out more about Horatio’s Garden Cardiff by CLICKING HERE.
