Horatio’s Garden Oswestry was a hive of activity recently when Dr Olivia Chapple and celebrated garden designer Bunny Guinness visited the site to receive a cheque from local representatives from the Shropshire Freemasons. The money was raised by the Shropshire Freemasons through the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which is funded by freemasons, their families and friends, from across England and Wales.

Despite the wintery weather, there were smiles all-round as Olivia and Bunny received the freemasons’ incredibly generous grant of £60,000. Without such donations, the beginning of work at Oswestry would have been simply impossible.

Thankfully, with our kind supporters, Bunny Guinness’ beautiful designs can now start to become a reality. As we have recently seen, the site is beginning to resemble the garden Bunny has imagined, with the steel frame of the garden room being the most recent addition.

We hope that the project will continue to rapidly progress, and both we and the Shropshire Freemasons look forward to watching the garden become a thing of beauty.

Our thanks goes to the Foundation for choosing to invest in our vision. Horatio’s Garden Oswestry will undoubtedly be a source of immense comfort for many in days to come.
