We were delighted to discover on the morning of International Women’s Day (Sunday 8th March) that our Royal Patron, HRH Princess Eugenie, had shared a story on Instagram celebrating the women who inspire her, with Founder & Chair of Trustees, Dr Olivia Chapple, featuring in the post.
The story celebrated her mother, Sarah Ferguson, sister, HRH Princess Beatrice and her grandmother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as well as various other incredible women who work both in the charity sector and for the NHS.
The Princess’ thoughtful post naturally attracted the attention of the press too, with the Daily Mail, Daily Express and Royal Central blog all reporting on the various ways the Royal Family marked the occasion.
We are so grateful to Princess Eugenie for using her platform to raise awareness of Horatio’s Garden alongside many other worthwhile projects and for highlighting the fantastic work being done by women across the UK.
