Building began at Stoke Mandeville today to create the third Horatio’s Garden. Designer, Joe Swift, dug the first spadeful of earth with Horatio’s brother, Titus Chapple.
The building will last six months. Once completed it will feature a garden room, a communal space outside for lunches and live music, a large greenhouse specially equipped for patients and a whole range of perennial and evergreen plants that will fill the garden.
