Thanks to many generous donations from a whole host of supporters, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re now in the final phase of fundraising for the capital appeal of our sixth project, Horatio’s Garden Wales!
Having all recently turned to our gardens, outdoor spaces and nature to help us through the past few months, many people have come to appreciate why it is so vital for every spinal injury centre to have a safe, beautiful haven for patients, their families and NHS staff.
It is perhaps this that has led to so many people giving whatever they can to help us raise the required amount and our hope is that this will continue to encourage even more people to become ‘Horatio’s Heroes’.
Becoming a Horatio’s Hero is all about helping us with the final push in our fundraising campaign.
In that spirit, we’re seeking 100 Horatio’s Heroes to donate £1,000 each, which will enable Horatio’s Garden Wales to flourish in time for the opening of the brand new Welsh Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Centre at University Hospital, Llandough, where the garden will be located.
Raising the outstanding £100,000 is all that stands between us and starting work at the site. As the Centre will be opening in summer 2021, we’re hoping to begin work as soon as possible, therefore your support truly will make all the difference.
Anyone can be a Horatio’s Hero, whether you’re an individual, a group of family and friends, or an office team.
In recognition of your support, Horatio’s Garden Wales designer, Sarah Price, will be creating a watercolour of the garden, which will have all our Heroes’ names inscribed within the painting. Every donor will receive a signed, limited edition print of the picture, whilst the original will be hung in the garden room for all who visit to see.
Additionally, all our Heroes will be invited for an exclusive tour of the garden with Sarah Price once it is open.
If you would like to become a Horatio’s Hero, or if you have any questions at all, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us by emailing us at info@horatiosgarden.org.uk, calling us on 01722 326834, or you can write to us at our registered address:
