March 17 2016

Horatio’s Garden has been selected by the National Gardens Scheme to become a beneficiary charity. At a press launch today the charity announced a donation of £130,000 to Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville capital appeal.

Dr Olivia Chapple, Chair and Executive Trustee of Horatio’s Garden, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to be joining forces with the NGS whose aims are very much in line with those of Horatio’s Garden. We are so grateful to everyone who visits a National Gardens Scheme open garden and we urge people to explore as many gardens as they can this summer. We look forward to working with the NGS to bring peace and relaxation to more people who have suffered devastating spinal cord injuries.”

At the launch Mary Berry was introduced as the new President of the National Gardens Scheme.
